Connect Slack

With Slack connected, the agent can summarize conversations, follow channels and search your history.

Admins only

Slack uses your company’s app. An admin has to load it once in Organization → Connectors, in Slack’s menu. Without it, Slack appears for no one. The steps are in Managing connectors.

Connect your account

1. Go to Customize (in the sidebar) and open Connectors.
2. On Discover, find Slack and click the + on its card.
3. The Slack screen opens. Authorize with your company account.
4. Back in nouter, Slack shows up under Yours. It works in any conversation.

What the agent can see

When you connect, you pick the scope under Resources to enable:

• Slack Workspace: read channels, direct messages, members and search across the whole connected workspace. When you connect it, you choose the Workspace: one your account and the Slack app can access.
• Slack Conversation: a single channel, direct message or group.
• Slack Thread: a single thread and its replies.

Slack is read-only: the agent reads and searches, it doesn’t post messages. To change what it sees, see Disconnect an account.
