Connect GitHub to your organization

If your company’s skills live in private GitHub repositories, connect those accounts once. Then, when you add a marketplace, you pick the repository from a list: nouter reads it without you pasting any token, and every time someone pushes a change, the collection updates on its own.

  1. Go to Organization → Git providers. Under Your GitHub account, tap Connect. GitHub lets you pick which account to use: choose the one that manages your company’s organizations.
  2. The organizations where the app is already installed and that account manages show up as Not linked. Tap Link on the ones you want to use: they move to Connected.
  3. If yours isn’t there, tap Add organization → Install GitHub App. GitHub asks where to install the app (one of your company’s organizations or your personal account) and which repositories it can see (All repositories or only some). When you’re done you come back to nouter and it shows up as Connected.

Your GitHub account stays connected: you don’t need to authorize every time. To use another one, tap Change account; Disconnect removes it without touching the organizations already connected. If the organization already had the app, Add organization leaves you on GitHub: come back to nouter and you’ll see it as Not linked.

For marketplaces, nouter only reads the repositories’ contents. The same app powers the agent’s GitHub connector, which can write (issues, pull requests, commits) with your approval; see Set up your company’s app.

In Organization → Skills, tap Add → Add marketplace → Sync from GitHub. With an account connected, you see the repositories in a list. More in Add a marketplace.

Column What it says
Repositories All repositories or Selected repositories, depending on what you chose in GitHub
Connected by Who connected it and when
Status Connected; Suspended if GitHub suspended it; Removed if the app was uninstalled from GitHub

At the top it says Synced from GitHub with the time the status was read.

The row’s menu (⋮) has Manage on GitHub, to change which repositories it can read, Copy installation ID and Unlink from this workspace. If you unlink an organization or remove a repository, the marketplaces that used it keep the skills they already had and show No access to the repository. Check Git providers. until you link it again.

Unlinking doesn’t uninstall the app from GitHub: the organization shows up again as Not linked and you link it again with Link.
