How connectors work

A connector joins nouter with an app you already use: Gmail, Notion, Slack, Salesforce. You connect it once, and the agent can use it in any conversation or project.

Each person connects their own accounts. The agent acts as you, with your permissions: it sees the emails, documents or channels you can reach, and nothing else. If you lose access to something in the app, the agent loses it too.

Only what you connected. When you connect an app you choose which resources are available: for example, a Gmail mailbox, a Drive folder or a Slack channel. A project only sees the resources you enable for it.

  • Reading needs no permission: searching an email, checking an event or reading a page happens right away.
  • Writing waits for your approval: sending an email, creating a page or posting a message stays pending until you approve it. See Why it asks for your approval.

To connect and disconnect, see Connect Google or Disconnect an account.
