Connect GitHub

With GitHub connected, the agent can search code, work with issues and pull requests, and follow Actions runs.

Admins only

GitHub uses an OAuth App from your company, not one from nouter. An organization owner creates it on GitHub and a nouter admin loads the Client ID and secret in Organization → Connectors, in GitHub’s menu. Without it, GitHub appears for no one. The steps are in Managing connectors.

Connect your account

1. In the sidebar, go to Customize → Connectors and open Discover.
2. Find GitHub and tap the +.
3. Sign in to GitHub and authorize your company’s app.
4. Back in nouter, GitHub shows in Yours. It works in any conversation.

What it can do

• Read: searching code, looking at issues, pull requests and Actions runs happen right away.
• Write: commenting, opening an issue or pushing waits for your approval (Why it asks for your approval).
