Managing members
Members is the list of the people in the workspace. It has two tabs: Active are the people who have already signed in, and Pending are the invitations of those who haven’t yet.
Add people
Section titled “Add people”- Click Add member.
- On the By email tab, type or paste the emails separated by commas or new lines. You can also use Upload CSV.
- Choose the Role they join with: Member or Admin.
- Click Add member.
Each email gets an invitation and takes a seat. If there are no seats left, the invitation fails and the notice says which ones didn’t get in and why. When there are none left, add them in Billing.
The By invite link tab has Share this link: the workspace’s address. Anyone with an email from the allowed domains joins with it on their own; everyone else needs an email invitation.
Roles: Admin and Member
Section titled “Roles: Admin and Member”In each row’s Role column you change the role. Admins see Organization; members don’t. You can’t change your own role, and there always has to be at least one admin.
The role change applies in two steps: access to Organization changes right away, and the workspace sections in about a minute. The notice says “Role updated. The workspace permissions apply in about a minute”. If the last workspace update failed, a notice with Retry appears at the top.
Tier: Standard and Premium
Section titled “Tier: Standard and Premium”In the Tier column you choose Standard or Premium for each person. Every new person joins as Standard.
Premium includes more usage per month (see Plans and pricing). You can only move someone to Premium if there’s a free Premium seat: there can’t be more people on Premium than Premium seats bought. If there’s no free one, the Premium option is disabled and the hint says Buy a Premium seat in Billing.
Spend this month
Section titled “Spend this month”Next to the tier, the Spend this month column shows what each person used. If they also have extra credits assigned, “+N credits” appears below.
Remove someone
Section titled “Remove someone”In each row, Remove deletes that person’s invitation: they won’t be able to sign in again and their open sessions are closed. What they did in the workspace stays.
You can’t remove someone who joins with the domain (they just sign in again) or an admin: for an admin you first take away the role. The button appears disabled and explains why.
You can pick several people with the checkboxes and remove them together with Remove selected.
Filter and export
Section titled “Filter and export”- The Role: All filter shows only admins or only members.
- Search… filters by name or email.
- Export CSV downloads the list you’re viewing, with name, email, role and last sign-in.
