Use and create skills

A skill teaches the agent to do something a specific way: write a report in your company’s format, prepare a proposal, review a contract. The agent reads each skill’s name and description and uses it when it fits. You can also use one on purpose by typing / in the chat and picking it.

All of this is in Customize → Skills, in the sidebar.

Yours has the skills your agent uses today:

  • Created by you: the ones you made.
  • From your organization: the ones your company gives everyone.

If you don’t want the agent to use one, tap Turn off. To use it again, Turn on. It only changes for you.

Discover has the skill collections your company offers. Some are already installed for everyone; others you add when you need them:

  1. Find the collection and tap Install. Its skills move to Yours.
  2. To see how a skill works before installing it, tap Try: a new chat opens that uses it.

At the top right, tap Add and choose:

  • Create a skill: give it a name and a description, and fill it in later.
  • Upload skill: upload a folder with a SKILL.md file.
  • Create with Claude: a chat opens that helps you write it and saves it among your skills.

The first time, nouter sets up a collection of your own (“My skills”) to keep them.

If a skill of yours is useful to everyone, open its options (the three dots on the row) and tap Share with organization. It goes to the admins for approval; when they decide, we email you. Yours stays as it is.

If the option isn’t there, your company doesn’t allow sharing skills.
