Usage and credits

The Usage and spend limits card has three figures:

  • Spent this month: what the workspace used in the month, in dollars. If it couldn’t be measured, it shows “—”.
  • Spend limit: the organization’s spend limit in credits, or No limit if you didn’t set one. A workspace with no per-person limit shows Unlimited.
  • Usage credits: the workspace’s credit balance.

Each person’s included usage resets on the 1st of every month; bought credits don’t reset, they last until they’re used.

  1. Click Buy usage credits.
  2. Type how many credits you want.
  3. Click Buy.

You pay once in Mercado Pago and the credits are added to the balance. It’s a one-off purchase, not a subscription.

Under Usage credits mode you choose how credits are used when someone runs out of included usage:

Mode What it does
On request The person is cut off and asks for more. This is the default.
Automatic for everyone They keep spending from the balance up to the Automatic spend limit, the same for everyone.
Automatic per user Same, with each person’s own limit.
Automatic, no limit It goes until the balance runs out.
  • Turn on usage credits lets people ask for more usage when they run out.
  • Usage credit requests notifies you when someone asks for more usage.
  • Automatic spend limit is each person’s limit in the automatic modes.
  • Organization spend limit caps how many credits can be used per month. The new value applies when you tap Adjust limit.
  • Auto-reload isn’t available yet.

Besides the modes, you can give someone extra credits without them asking:

  1. Click Assign credits.
  2. Type the person’s email and how many credits.
  3. Click Assign.

Above the buttons it says how many credits are available to assign: the balance capped by the organization’s limit. An assignment is a permission: the balance goes down with each person’s real usage, and whatever isn’t used goes back to the balance on the 1st.

Under Pending requests you see people’s requests, with their email, the credits, the date and the Approve and Discard buttons. Each person has a single pending request at a time.

Each person’s monthly spend also shows in Members.
