Share a project with a teammate
Sharing a project lets another person open it and work in it. You do it from the project itself.
Open Share
Section titled “Open Share”In the project editor, at the top right, the Share workspace button. From the home list you can also use the project’s three-dot menu, Share.
Pick the role
Section titled “Pick the role”Before adding anyone, choose what they can do in the Access to grant menu:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Edit the apps, use the chat, and manage access. The same as the owner, except deleting the project. |
| Gadget only | Use the apps without agent chat or editing. |
Add someone
Section titled “Add someone”Type the name or the exact email in the field. People in your company space show up in the Matching people list as you type; pick one, check the role, and click Invite.
What each person sees
Section titled “What each person sees”Below, under People with access, is the list of who has access and with which role; the owner shows as Owner. To remove someone, use Remove on their row.
- Someone with Workspace works like the owner, but cannot delete the project.
- Someone with Gadget only just opens and uses the apps; they do not see the code or the chat.
- Each person uses their own connected accounts, not the owner’s.
A shared project appears on the other person’s home screen only after they open it for the first time.
